Hey guys, i found a friend at work who's learning to play the sax - the first person I've met here in Turkey that's showed an interest in playing music. He wants to play together sometime, but he only knows a few jazz songs. The one he wants to work on is Autumn Leaves. I found some basic info on this, but I've never really played any jazz-type guitar. Any RUkind'ers play this song, or any jazz for that matter that might be able to help me put something together for this?
here's the progression I found for autumn leaves:
Any tricks or tips to playing a progression like this? special positions, etc.
I also recommended Take Five, as another piece we could play. Anybody know what the original key was for this. I saw somewhere that SCI played it in Em, but i think the original was Ebm.
