Yep, Mosrite double-neck made by Semie for Joe. Here's another link for some more info on Joe and links to some You Tube vids. I have a few of his disks - killer stuff. Nothing like clean tone with clean flatpicking. Check out Larry Collins - wow !!

I wouldn't call Joe a Bakersfield guy - he's just a good flat picker. He's also the inspiration for all of the surf guys (including Dick Dale) from the '60s. Just an amazing talent.

I think of Buck Ownes and Don Rich as the quintessential Bakersfield guys. Some of my other favorite Tele players are Jerry Reed, Danny Gatton, Redd Volkaert and believe it or not but Brad Paisley. If you get past the sappy stuff, Paisley is the real deal when it comes to country Tele pickers.

And if you want to expand your horizons to a little western swing, check out Jimmy Rivers. This only known recording of Rivers has some awesome playing on it --> http://www.amazon.com/Brisbane-Bop-Jimm ... 379&sr=1-2
