my isp makes some web space available so I figured I'd put this out there. This was our first attempt at this and it shows. It's also pretty freakin long. 29 plus minutes.

Drums, a user on this site (czyfingers) on guitar and me. We switch off w/ lead and rhythm. It's mildly interesting for those so inclined. Some decent stuff with some weak moments - my 2 cent says the nfa is better than the throwing stones.

On behalf of the 4 of us thanks Pat! For the record I'm doin the finger/flat pickin during the verse and the 1st lead - czyfingers got the vocals and the 2nd lead.

Speaking for me I'm doing my usual blues pentatonic/mixolydian morphing. Mostly the former but with mixolydian major accents.

As I've mentioned before in other posts, I'll voice the major third (Ab), often as a slide up or hammer on, within some blues pentatonic phrasing from time to time and the opposite as well; voicing the flat third (G) within some mixolydian phrasing. Chromatics fit in as well.

This is a sample of the pent blues with:

g8 and d6 & 8 as chromatic bridges

d8 as a passing note

d5-6 as a slide up or hammer on for the major 3rd in the pent blues scale.

Here's more of a mixolydian flavored take off the barred 12th fret E chord

The e14 and b15,14 give the the maj/mixolydian flavor

there's a whole lot goin on from the b12, g15, 14, 13, 12, and a whole myriad of permutations to voice - pull offs, hammers, bends, flat 3rds, maj thirds, chromatics etc.

As far a positioning goes this is just a small piece of the pie.

Thanks Pat. For NFA I stick to E pentatonic blues with lots of "Jerry notes" thrown in. Which is pretty much what Bill said, but in a far more technical way.

Thanks TJ - Do you mean at 1:38? It sounds like a couple of series of single note (3 each run) pull offs. I'll try and tab it if you'd like.

'Schnecter' lol! Had me chucklin. Schecter, and I do like it very much. Tiger strat picked one up recently as well if I'm not mistaken, though he may be overhauling it.

This was our first shot at this and we haven't played it since. Time to give it a go again w/bass guy.

I just added 2 versions of Mr. Charlie, each with a different bassist and one with female backup vocals. Both sung by czyfingers and both kinda rough around the edges yet somewhat interesting - to me anyway

Also added an electric friend of the devil
