ya, goin to see them in august here in Cleveland. im super pumped. No mystery is my favorite album. the first time i heard it i was just getting into jazz and it blew the top of my head off! coulda had somethin to do with the boomers also

Stanley Clark was....of course, Stanley Clark. Played a ten minute bass solo which was monumental. Each member got a ten minute solo. First set was electric, second acoustic. Encore was electric. Al really took a sick solo at the end.Chick played some of the smoothest solos with his analogue synth patches I've ever heard. The guy has no limitations regarding chops whatsoever. he could probably play circles around me with the tyoes on his left foot.

Chick did not "talk scientology". He did dedicate the whole second set to Miles, and each member had a chance to talk to the crowd for a little while between songs, which were (of course) each very long pieces with massive changes and parts. I'm guessing Romantic Warrior clocked in at well over 30 minutes with solos segued.
Lazy Lightning, I'm not sure how you're gonna see them in August in Cleveland as they were just there Tues June 24th---perhaps you meant Philly?
