When it doesn't fit anywhere else

For other Richmond, VA heads! I know there is a few of us. Tickets for Phil and Friends at Innsbrook in June (maybe 4th) are only 15 bucks! I don't think you'll see him for much cheaper so get on it and see you out there. Not the best place to see a show but still should be a blast.

A friend I haven't seen in a long while is gonna be in town working with the sound crew so I've got 2 good reasons to be there. Can't wait! Rukind gathering at will call?

Already ordered mine in the pre-sale. This is so awesome; I live literally like 5 minutes from that place.

He's playing over in Charlottesville on July 8th, too - you guys going to that one? Perhaps some ride sharing could happen, what with the price of gas and all?

Innsbrook is a wierd place. I love the fact that almost every show is 15 bucks and it's not the worst place to see a show but certainly not the best either. I think Little feat is coming there soon as well. I know Moe. and Disco biscuits will be there (I don't really dig either of them so you won't catch me there) and I just saw Gov't Mule there. Thanks for the info on the charlottesville show.

Hope some of you guys make it out to see phil tonight. Should be a blast.

I'll be arriving late probably wearing a shirt and shorts. Haven't decided between shoes or flip flops. I should be easy to spot

I'll be wearing a blue/purple/green tie dye that looks like a mushroom - short red hair that's going gray with a beard. I'll be with my very cute girlfriend - easy to spot.

In truth If you see me say hey! I'll be wearing a blue shirt with a Uncle Sam on it that says "Dead is Better" it's sort of looks like those life is good designed shirts, But better! Have short brown hair and a 5 o clock shadow.

If you see me, say hello

Hope everyone had a good time

I thought we were going to stick to the 60's during the second set when we opened

China cat> Born cross-eyed> Caution> Depree> mountains of the moon. But when they took that into Terrapin I lost my mind. Then boogied my ass off on Watchtower into GDTRFB.

Best energy I've ever seen at innsbrook. That place is always dead. Saw Yonder and DSO there and the crowd didn't get into it at all. Last night was special.

we could not, for the life of us figure out one of the songs they did that, at least on album, came before that's it for the other one... a whole lot of falsetto chorus type crazy lyrics.. i'm going to try and look it up but if anyone knows what i am talking about, chime in..
but great show..
bit over the top cop presense at the end,... sort of a camden cops to get you out of town feel .. but creepier.. maybe cops to get you INTO downtown charlie brown..
but a great night for a show, and, cheap beer

Yeah there was a lot of cop presence but some people were getting out of control as it was. There was a small fight by the porter johns and a girl in front of my threw beer at the bartenders. I'm sure those events put the cops on edge. They always have a large amount of cops at that venue as it is

Oh and that be great. Always down with jamming with some new people. I've been working on keys recently so if someone wants to play some bass so I can switch for a while, I'd love it!

I enjoyed it. LAme place-but sweet weather and easy crowd. Show was good. A lot of old classics in 1st set. Jammed the Althea! Second set started out weird, so I bolted only to spend the next hour looking for my car- I heard Terrapin, Watch Tower, etc in the parking lot- lost. It just doesn't pay to get that bent before the show. Had to wait for most to clear out before finding my wheels. Corporate parking lot hell. Glad to see everyone out!

Yep, as always, Phil is just a total inspiration. Still rockin' out that hard at 68 is awesome! I did think that the second set kind of lagged there, though, until the Terrapin.

For it being my first time at that venue, I have mixed reviews. It was nicely laid out, but parking was kind of strange ( parking in the lots of many various corporate buildings ). We got very lost getting back to our car after the show. Plus, the having to wait in three different lines before you could get a beer is RIDICULOUS!!!!! Although I can see where it would be an effective deterrent to over imbibing  .

Anyways, August West, are you still interested in coming out and jamming with us? We would love to have some keys if that's what you're into. Let me know.
