Holy Shit! I was not expecting that. The show was amazing. The whole crowd was sitting down. It was probably 80% males there, that all looked like they work at guitar center. It was a gathering of fellow musicians who love music. The crowd was so respectful to them. I suggest anyone go see them. Best musicians i have ever seen.
Oh Yeah!! Chick and Co. can be very mindblowing.
This is a tour 30 years in the making/waiting.
Sounds like you weren't expecting that kind of total sickness. I'm psyched to be seeing them in Cleveland next Tuesday. They have a cool website with a forum, etc and short clips of all their remastered songs they recently did. I'm sure Al was wailing as well.
They keep playing the same setlist despite the fact that they show "alternates" for evey show. They just haven't done any of them yet I guess. There's also a few tunes put up by tapers you can access via their forum.
BTW spacehead, I checked out your band's myspace page and was pretty impressed with your original tune, especially with your keyboardist's solo. Good stuff.

I love those hard core music fan shows. I remember about 10 years ago when McLaughlin, Di Meola and De Lucia (The Guitar Trio) came around again.
Same type of scene, 90% guys, most wearing Fender T shirts or some other shirt saying "Look at me, I play guitar too". No one stands, everyone is dead quiet, and at the end of every tune everyone is just floored.
I had a sick experience a month or so ago at Radiohead here in Florida which was maybe the best concert I have ever seen. No one talking, dead quiet crowd, but everyone rolling their heads off and dancing. Kind of like a Phish crowd but everyone was on mute.

Don't miss these guys if you can see them.They are probably the most amazing musicians playing together on the planet right now. Last night's show was beyond description.
