I just recently discovered the archive - which through some miracle is the only streaming media site that I can access from work - so I've just started to dig into what's out there. I've been going off recommendations from this site: go into the forums and search for favorite shows and you'll get a bunch of threads with great shows listed.

some of my favorites that I've found so far:

1979-11-09 - Buffalo, NY - early Brent. real nice!
1972-05-26 - London, Englnad - last night in Europe, and they let it all out.
1973-12-11 (DP vol 1) - love that Here Comes Sunshine jam

today I'm enjoying 1974-06-28. I don't know if i'd list it as a favorite, yet, but it's certainly worth listening too.

I guess my favorite show is 7/31/82 Manor Downs Tx
The sbd I got is a great mix with Bob being clear and Jerry is hot.The whole band is feeling it.
The whole show has a great vibe -the drumz and space are killer. The 2nd set flows brilliantly....
Love the Scarlet Fire - a favorite version.
There is an UJB ---> Truckin' that wails .....
82 gets slammed a lot but this show is sweet....
Peace Dude

3/16/90. Set list looks average, but it is played to stellar perfection. Jerry is ON FIRE the whole show. The harmonies are all there. There isn't a dud of a song the entire show....

I: LTGTR > Touch, Minglewood, Peggy-O, Queen Jane, Loser, BTWind*, Bird Song, Blow Away.
II: Scarlet > Estimated > Ship Of Fools, Women R Smarter, Jam > D/S > Other 1 > Stella Blue > Sugar Mag.
E: The Last Time
* 1st Time Played since 1974.

Then the following week...

BOTH SHOWS from Hamilton, Ontario. Second show, second set highlighted by the first performance of Hey Jude (the whole song) since 1969 - even though Brent forgets 80% of the lyrics...it's a monumental show. 3/21/90 & 3/22/90.

My favorite shows to listen to that I did not attend are BOTH SHOWS from the "Formerly The Warlocks" performances at Hampton in 1989 when they busted out Help > Slip, Dark Star, etc. Sickleberry performances - ESPECIALLY the best version of "Death Don't Have No Mercy" since they brought it back. It's ALSO the ONLY performance of that song they ever played in 4/4, from my calculations. It was always played as a waltz, but for some reason this one's in 4/4 and the entire band is completely blistering.

OK, I'm done...so many more, so much carpal tunnel to develop...
