Hey now,
Ready for some good ole Grateful Dead? The Pranksters are performing for the first time ever at the new and very kind Owsley's Golden Road Friday, May 30th at 9:00 PM. Joining us on stage for a ragin night of non-stop music is Denver's own Stanky Pockets performing original jam tunes! Come on out, bring your friends and get ready to boogie!

I live on the west coast but I find this event very inviting...

Any chance there might be trash cans full of Kool-Aid and Diplomas for those who walk out when the place closes?

I don't think it's likely that they're associated with Owsley. The last I knew, Bear was pretty serious about staying off the grid almost completely. He's lived in a remote area outside of Queensland Australia since the 80's.

Hey guys,
Owsley's Golden Road is just the name that Jay Bianchi decided to call this place and has no connection, other than spiritual, to THE Owsley. Jay Bianchi is the Bill Graham of Denver and owns 5 "Dead" venues in town, Dulcinea's 100th Monkey, Sancho's Broken Arrow, Quixotes, Cervantes, and Owsley's Golden Road. Jay is a great guy and really has given a lot of opportunies to local bands. Even though his places are DEADicated, he has all kinds of local and national acts like Stave Kimoch, Melvin Seals, Split Lip Rayfield, DSO, Rap Bands, Latino bands, etc. Basically anything good! He has given The Pranksters a chance to play at one of his larger venues, Owsley's, tonight and we are really jazzed! Nervous, but jazzed!

Peace,

Gil
