well put hg95. As another expat member, I fully agree with you. This site has been an invaluable resource to me when it comes to learning music, bs'ing about the music scene, or just having a good laugh with like-minded folks.

many thanks to the hosts, and people who keep this thing alive and running.

I want to say thanks to the folks who keep this site together as well. As a frequent eavesdropper and rare/barely ever contributor, I can state confidently that this site has improved my guitar playing immensely over the last few years. So can my neighbors. I realize that I will never play like Jerry or Bob, but the insights gained from here made realize that I can focus on playing like me- only better. And thanks to Kenny as well. I digested some, and some went right through me, but it all helped. Everyone needs a little roughage. With your help, I have finally managed to learn something about how songs are structured and what the Grateful Dead does with these structures. I also finally learned the damn fretboard! Lastly, if it weren't for here, I'd be using the internet for all work and no fun. Well, nearly.
So, many thanks, I'm truly grateful.
