I sing flat as f*ck. Sorry kids. The VIDEO portion is sickleberry and the PLAYING is pretty good, that's for sure...but my vocals are chowder, IMO.

Hopefully, we'll get some other vids up there that'll have GOOD vocals for ya!!

But thanks for the kind words and PLEASE - if you come to a show - PLEASE introduce yourself to us!! Always nice to put a face w/ someone you chat w/ online!!!

Peace

our singer(Pappy) didn't disclose that he had badly bruised ribs suffered while servicing 3 groupies the other night, at least that is what he told us..the rest of the band thinks he got hurt taking out the garbage..he still sung his heart out all night and should have another vid up soon to prove the point

thanks to all that have checked out the vid

Dave, I was talking with a friend the other night (also by the name Dave), and he was recounting a story that you told him about your time at the Ranch, specifically when Jack Casady didn't let you plug in, but instead did it for you. Pretty cool stuff, man. I hope to get down there at some point. Don't think I'll be able to do a class anytime soon, but maybe head down a couple of nights for some shows.

yep last year at Fur Peace was one the highlights of my musical life..to get on stage and play and sing a Hot Tuna tune with Jack and Jorma sitting 20 feet away..having Jack be my roadie..it was like a dream..I play bass because of Jack and Phil. To sit in a room and work on songs with Jack, watch him play and suck up as much of his mojo as possible was so so cool. Another fun moment of that weekend was when we were about to start one of the workshops and Jack was in the front room of the studio and I started to play his famous bass intro to "White Rabbit", he turned around and said "Ok, who's the comedian?" It was a good laugh for sure. Got plans to go back this November, can't wait. Way worth the bucks if you can swing it, and seeing those guys play on Sat night was sweet too

there's a pic of me and Jack on our website in the photo section

Yeah, that place sounds great. I'd love to go down and learn from such talented musicians. Money and time may keep me from doing that anytime soon. Maybe I'll win the lottery (that I never play) and that will afford me the time and money needed to go take a lesson there. If not, I'll be down for a couple of nights to see them play.

I bet Pappy knows of that part of the world, his band Double Dose played in the Philly area and still has a bunch of friends out there..we really need to consider taking a weekend to play some gigs out in Philly,do you have an in with these folks at the bar?

How does Splintered do there? My old band (Double Dose) used to kinda be in competition w/ those guys. They're (or were - dunno who's still in the band, although I imagine Butch is still their lead player) all pretty cool dudes.

I imagine w/ the proper billing & advertising that we could do well there....wonder what they pay?? I'd make the trip in a heartbeat and, for the right money, could definitely get the group to make a road trip!!

Make it happen oh JEDI MASTER!!
