Hey Gang,
I'm looking for some photo's of Jerry G, and another pic I once saw of, iirc, Bobby and Billy, in Cowboy Suits, sometimes know as Nudie Suits, ala http://www.nudiesrodeotailor.com/bio_01.html

I believe there are other pic's of Jer wearing the one below (playing the brown Strat with numbers for fret markers?).
I also think I saw a pic Bobby and Billy in the "Playing In The Band" book, wearing these type of suits.

I have a huge black and white Jerry poster similar to the pic in yer post - its my fav poster of all time.
With The Alligator guitar I think.
My buddy has a bootleg record with a slightly different shot of Garcia ;I think its called "Vintage dead".

But wow, Jerry may have been the oldest looking 30 year old ever. No doubt he had seen more shit go down in his first 30 years than most of us will in a lifetime.

Side note, flying back from a business trip in Mexico today, my iPod was on shuffle and the Gomorrah from "Pure Jerry at Theater 1839" came on. I was floored. I think that disc may be the best capture of the connection Jerry had with lyrics and to his guitar. Singing and guitar work were so clearly coming from the same soul.

I think that disc is the purest of the Pure Jerry set.

i think it was the drugs that aged him not neccesarily what he saw....we should learn something from jerry...stay away from drugs nothing good comes from it.

That picture/lighting makes him lokk older too. Look at some of the '73 shots of a beardless Jer and he looks a lot younger than in that pic. The acne that scarred his face never helped either.

Our boy looks to be taking things pretty seriously when he puts on this jacket!... (I would too.)
