With all the commotion over DSO lately, this seemed topical..

I just ended up on JGB bands Archive.org site and listened to a show.. ( I was looking for a copy of tough mama as I'm trying to learn some of it a bit better).. and I ended up at the link i provided below. Unless this show is an anomaly this guy has Jerry's inflection and tone of voice dead on.

take a second and listen to the tough mama it's really good. I only listened to tough mama and deal and I just had to post how impressed i was..

I've always loved Melvin Seals and his playing on these tunes. I'm glad he's got this going on, I hope they head out east. I think I'd get my old ass out to a club to see 'em..lol

Yeah, I saw them out at Nelson's Ledges last summer, didn't know the guys name. But I have to admit, he had Jerry down so pat it actually kind of creeped me out a little. I wonder if he naturally sounds like that, or if he really had to work at it? I wish I could sound like someone else when I sing.....

..yes, and from his website it appears he also plays with the Jones Gang and Workingman's Ed....I saw him play with 'Melvin Seals and JGB' at the Hawthorne Theatre here in Portland in '06 and I remember 'Aint no bread in the breadbox,' stealing the show...good call paulee
