They hadn't played it in since 12-31-81. It was a Friday the 13th with a full moon. Phil came out before they played it and spoke to the crowd....something like..."were gonna do somethng special for you..this is gonna be a one time thing".

Folks I know who were there swear there was a shooting star during the tune as well.

special, heady occaisions, yes, but bear in mind these were not the the mighty wild Dark Stars of yore, imho. I OF COURSE wish I'd a-been there!!:lol: You'd probably have to put that Greek Star in the Top 10, just on principle.

OTOH, the Jerry/Bob/Brent-sung "Attics" mentioned, from Hampton 89 as well as the follow-ups, was clearly a giant leap forward for the song, vocally or at least equal to the best older versions.
