Grateful Dead-the soul of a dead person, or his angel, showing gratitude to someone who, as an act of charity, arranged their burial.

i'm not starting any debate just think i's funny cause thats exactly what dso does. no dso show sounds like any grateful dead show. And dso does play non grateful dead "stuff" they call themselves terrapin nation.
check out some elective setlists they come up with some crazy combos & jams.

just recently in new york:
Set 1: Sugar Magnolia> Loose Lucy, Cassidy, Mr. Charlie, HC Sunshine, Music Never Stopped> Unbroken Chain> Sunshine Daydream
Set 2: Help on the Way> Slipknot> Feel Like a Stranger> Franklin's Tower, Alligator> Drums> Space> Other One> Alligator> Other One> Standing on the Moon> Lovelight
Encore: Werewolves of London

One of the most memorable for me was May 19th 03 (?). I believe it was at the State Theatre in VA. The encore was Music>Scarlet>Music. And I think it is up on archive.org. If you can, check it out!

but with bands like ratdog or even the tricksters i have no reason to spend a dime on dso...besides their ticket prices are just plain stupid sometimes...ill see u all at the next donna jean and the trciskters show for like 10$
Right on. They don't do much for me either. Jeff Matson, is hands down the finest JG emulator ever. Barraco has played with far higher caliber musicians then the DSO boys over the years.. he's with them for the paycheck.

Smokes him? That's laughable man.

Mattson was playing professionally when Kadlecik was still beggin' his momma for a pack of gum.

Kadlecik is one of the better Garcia emulators out there but in no way is he even in the same league.
