72 bucks is really steep man, I rember at one point, Like spring 2004 or so I was trying to get this and ladies and gentleman.... and they were both pretty steep, and scarce. They must have done another run because the prices came down a bit after that.

I love 71-74 dead, esp. 72, but I don't really like the Steppin Out set, it has its moments but overall its not the first one I grab.

You should try getting you hands on the Radio Luxembrug (sp?) bootleg - 5/16/72. Great setlist, some good banter and awsome sound qaulity. I can get you a copy for B&P, but it used to be on GDLive.com back in the day, don't even know if thats still up.

just got this 5/16 show of speeding arrow and first gotta say that the sound quality is fantastic!!! everything is mixed almost perfectly, vocals could use a little up with the volume, but other than that its perfect

Yeah I mean, I have a sentimental attachment to that 5/16 show, it was one of the first bootlegs I ever got, my freshman year of college, comming off of a summer where I listened to American Beauty, Workingman's and Eurpoe '72 and spent most of my time laying by my pool or near one of the rivers arround here and . That boot provided me with a lot of comfort and hapiness during those first weeks of 'adjusting' to school.

But this gets me thinkin', I haven't listened to it in a LOOOOONNNGGGG time. Doesn't Bobby or Jer encourage people to get up and dance or something after one of the first couple songs? I remember there being alot of talking/joking going on between songs. (Pops into mind: Bobby: This one's dedicated to the great state of Mexico; before Me & My Uncle)

I just bought Steppin' Out for $32 and wow it's worth every penny! It blows "Hundred Year Hall" and "Rockin' The Rhine" out of the water!

I highly recommend "Ladies and Gents (71)", "Steppin' Out(72)", "Grateful Dead Movie Soundtrack(74)" too any Head that's a fan of '71-'74 all three are must haves.

Does anyone know of anyone know of any smokin' '73 shows?

Blowing them out of the water is a bit of an overstatement, don't ya think? It's Europe, It's '72, It's all good. "Rockin' the Rhein" just might be my favorite single show release ever.

Well of course there is 11/11/73 from Winterland...one of my persoal favorites fro 73 is 8/1/73--Roosevelt Stadium...There is a mind numbing DS>>El Paso>>Eyes>>Morning Dew. Not to mention it was Mr. Garcia's Birthday

no shit huh, cause HYH and Rockin the Rhine are two of my favorite commercial releases. I think both of those kick the shit out of 8/27. Ive always wanted Steppin out but could never bring myself to spend 30 bucks on it. looks like i will now
