Introduce Yourself First! We think of each other as being part of a community, and want to know who you are. Use this as an opportunity to honestly represent yourself and why you are here. Be Respectful of others when posting: There is a lot of leeway of what is acceptable here, but, your point should be able to be made without humiliating, hateful words, witch-hunts, ganging up, bullying, name calling, threats, or violence. (The types of things that you wouldn't find acceptable at a Dead Show.) Be Kind: a good rule of thumb when interacting on this site is to ask yourself: are you kind?
Wow, my friend. Thanks for directing me to two shows in particular. 11-15-71 and the 8-6-74 AUD. I've spent the better part of the evening jamming to the '74. Kind of a pain to retune every time the boys do, but well worth it. I love it. Hearing the fireworks was also enjoyable. Makes me think I should listen to more AUDs. What a be-boppity jam out of Playin' and into Scarlet!
One of my favorite audience tapes. In my top 5 for shows I listen to the most. Simply sickness. You get an 81 show with a shakedown>Greatest story opener. A china/rider followed by a Scarlet/fire. A estimated/eyes and one of the best wharf rats ever! top that off with a Baby blue and Good lovin encore and you are living the good life. Just found my copy of this so I'll be busy for the next couple of hours.

My buddy just gave me a stack of fall 81 shows and I'm loving them!I looked thru the stack-no Greek shows. :(
I'll look for it on the archive.
Right now its 12/27/81.2nd set.
Bob says before Samson"Since its Sunday were gonna play a spiritual number"
Before the 1st solo he says"Look out Philistines!"
Its some good stuff!
Thanks for the suggestion. I've said it before and I'll say it again, nothing like that early 80's cocaine energy! Jerry sounds like he can't play enough notes to be happy. I know it's a good show when I even like a CCRider and a slow FOTD.
