Wow, thanks for sharing. I just watched the entire thing and loved it. I could have done without those weird visuals though...

I mean come on... A sea manatee with porn star lips? That took away from the video.

But damn, I miss that BAND!!!!!!!

Yeah it's extremely hot, jerry doesn't miss a note. But check out the end of DS, it's amazing, it sounds like Jerry wanted to go into Morning Dew, but Bobby has the last word and goes into El Paso... that's pure Dead

I held that opinion for years-"where's the unmucked-with version?"- but then I was informed sometime in the last couple of years that the reason that the clip art animation is in there is that the film footage for the middle segment of DS simply does not exist... not a bad fix IMHO, but yeah you wish so hard that you could see them playing the insane stuff in the middle. Other incredible DS's of this "breed": 7/26/72, 7/18/72, 10/18/72 and holey crap 11/13/72.

Interestingly, they just played a '73 (i think that's what he said) show segment that also had a cool DS, into El Paso (ala Bobby transition with Phil jumping right on), on our local GD hour show.
Cool!
Great to play along with for modal inspiration.

Is the Strat used in this YouTube of historical note?

I thought that looked familar. I looked through my collection of disk and found a DVD someone put together on this benefit show for Ken K.If someone is intersted in I will burn a copy and send it out with the caveat that if others want a copy the return the favor.Send me a pm if you are interested.
