Hey all,
For the holidays I received a Dead book that I hadn't seen before. It's called Deadheads Forever and is hardcover. There really is no author listed. It's like someone's journal and is kind of interesting and kind of odd. I like it in that it reminds me of a lot of tour times (there are handwritten set lists on hotel stationary that I swear I could have written) and I don't like it in that it looks like it was thrown together quickly to try to make a buck. Anyone have it? Any thoughts or knowledge about this book??

Nope never heard of it. Sorry, but on a side note, in the area I live in there's a store that sell all kinds of hippie stuff, inscence and the like well they also sell the "Blue Book". You know the Dead tab book available in the parking lots.

I got the bluebook, they sell it at our local hippieshop called the DeadZone, great store..

although its a wonderful place to start, and good to keep handy when traveling, I actually found some of the chords to be wrong, and if not, alot of them are aren't lined up with the lyrics, or spaced practically

then again i could be listening to different versions than the ones tabbed out, but if my memory serves me correct, alot of the songs are just "rough guidelines" lol

i just got between the dark and light pretty cool photos, but i've seen most of them

If it's the book I think it is, then it's actually a tour scrapbook that someone found in a VW that they bought, but there was no info as to who owned the book other than all the random tour stuff within. It's not so much a "Dead" book really as it's some Deadhead('s) book. Hope this helps!

I had an old girlfriend that kept an immaculate "tour/ticket/setlist book" from 84-87, well over 100 shows. It was during some really crazy times. She died over a decade ago and I catch myself from time to time wondering where that ended up. Since she wasn't exactly "settled" somewhere at the time, it could have been anywhere. :(

Yeah, that's the book. On the back it says something like: "what if you found someone's journal in an old vw? It would look like this book.." so I don't think that's exactly what happened, but probably how the rumor got started. I could be wrong. Do you have a source or remember where you heard it?
