A discussion that is unsettled in our family is that on the last track of Rockin' the Rhein, "One More Saturday Night", Bob says "This is our new single ________________". I can't for the life of me figure out what he says in the blank there, but my wife says he says something (that I don't want to post just yet, don't want to lead the witnesses, if any) that IMO is nonsense. At first I thought that the tape master must have gotten messed up there, but I don't hear anything unusual in the guitar riff playing in the background. Does anybody know what he says there?

Interesting responses. My wife thinks he says "This is our new single if you want to ride by it." I say this doesn't make any sense, but it is close to "...ride black" as Dozin heard. I think it sounds like he was going to say "This is our new single if you want to run out and buy it." or something similar (like what St. Stephen posted), and that he just messed it up. Based on the way they say "Alf Vederzein" (no idea how to spell that one) at the end, I assume this track was either from the end of the second set or that it was the encore at one of the shows (I am sure I could look that up if I tried, chalk that up to laziness), so fatigue could have been a factor making it easy to get a little tongue tied. Just a theory.

could be possible but i didn't catch anything like that, sounds like he was just kinda ytrying to finish his phrase before he started jamming, and got tongue tied. In the words of Jimi "who knows? I dont know, they dont know."

first of all... thats prob my favorite cd of all time, i must have heard it over 50 times in my life and i always assumed he said " this is our new single if you wanna ride by" but now that the question was brought up i could be wrong
