so i was interested in hearing what you all thought about how the BCS works or if you think they need to add a playoff system. Im all high on my Buckeyes playin in the Natty championship again, but if you watch college football you see how messed up it was gettin there.

I felt Oklahoma kinda got shafted, but Hawaii really got burned. sucks so bad for them.

Auburn got the shaft a couple of years ago when USC and Oklahoma also went undefeated and we were left out, so I'm not too high on the BCS. I think if Division II teams can play a few extra games for a tournament, there's no reason the big boys can't. Hell, I'd be happy if they just took the top 4 teams and played a two round tourney.

I don't think Hawaii got burned at all. They have a cupcake schedule. Their toughest game this year was Boise State, another team that with a cupcake schedule.

The BCS might not be the best thing, but there will never be a playoff, the bowl system has lasted too long and means too much to the colleges, and also takes into account the entire season, not just a few games in a playoff, and by the way, brings in a hell of a lot of money. So I don't know, I just don't see the playoff happening, the powers that be seem to be really against it. And on Hawaii, they're horrible, if they played in the SEC, they'd have a losing record, 5-6, maybe, a big maybe.

an emphatic YES! the BCS does not work the way that it is set up right now. a playoff system would ensure that the teams that deserve to be there are there.

In my simplistic little brain....
Run the play-off's through the existing bowl system, Start earlier, and go later... Wait... Those guys are supposed to be students as well, aren't they? Oh well, that's what summer classes are for....
