I used to have a boot leg of just jerry and his acoustic. Scarlet, Run for the Roses, Brown Eyed, and a bunch of great sh*t, loved it! Listened to it all the time. I think it might have been at one of his B-Day parties but not sure; does any body know when and where this recording was. I am hoping to find it on internet archive but need date or venue...please help this old hippie!

I thought the only Jerry solo acoustic in circulation was 4-10-82. I guess I'd never thought of more personal events like birthday parties and things like that. I do know there's nothing at archive, though. I'd gone through a "searching for solo Jerry" thing of my own and in my case, nothing panned out. Good luck to ya.. sounds like something we would all dig.

If you do ever track down that show and it turns out to be another solo Jerry performance, please update us. That would be a HUGE find.

Those are the only ones since random parties from the 60s that weren't recorded or home recordings. But none of them were original tunes mostly classic folk and country.

We had some issues back in college.

We'd swear we'd heard a song on a tape or at a show but it didn't happen.

maybe you're thinking of 5/5/82? The prison performance? He played run for the roses as well as rueben and cherise, but no scarlet. Either way, it is truly a special performance, listening to those tapes make me feel like I'm sitting in a room with Jerry maybe 10 feet away.
