T, I am headed to SanDiego Thurs, but will get in touch. The new steel is a '84 Zum S12 Universal with 8 pedals and 4 knee levers. It was in a sad state of repair but I am confident I will have it running like a champ soon enough.
My Breedlove acoustic (with nice Breedlove case) was valued at $250 more than I paid for it (by the seller of the steel), so the trade plus cash made a whole lotta sence on my end.
I bought my Taylor 710 ("710 Ashbury" as I liked to call it) for $1250, played it for 4-5 years, and sold it for $1200 (just wasn't playing it enough, and wanted to convert it's value into the Carvin DC727 [another buy/sell/trade score], and Schecter Omen-7 Ex [$299 new at GC], that I am now playing).
I will probably never spend over $500 on an acoustic again, as there are alot of nice guitars available in that price range, for a guy like me who doesn't play enough acoustic to tie up much money in one.
