AHHH please help me! i am so ready to just drop playing guitar, i hit these learning curves all the time and im stuck at one again, and i have been for a month plus now... it sounds like my playing has become worse. So, my question.. jerry does that thing when hes soloing, its like a really fast repition of three notes asceding up the scale, like duhduhduh, duhduhduh, duhduhduh, duhduhduh, doooooo. faster and faster as he goes then finally peaks on some amazing note, most likely the root, but anyone who can explain what hes doing and anyone else who can play what im thinking of please post a vid or atleast a tab!!!please!

He's playing triplets of scale tones, moving one scale down for each triplet. He also does the reverse, ie descending triplets. In scale tone degrees for the mixolydian scale it would be something as followed. Each triplet set is in ()

(1 2 3) (2 3 4) (3 4 5) (4 5 6) (5 6 7b) (6 7b 1) (7b 1 2) (1 2 3) 4

I'm sure others on this site can provide a better explanation and tabs if needed

once youve been playing a while you get used to certain sounds and something like that lick is not too hard to figure out. dont get discouraged if youve only been playing a month and cant figure out something like that
