Hey, fellas, I have some heartbreaking news and I need some kind head help. I just moved down to Richmond, VA a few weeks back, and due to a nightmare with the movers, ending up leaving some things behind back in the house in PA. Now, the house there is still mine, hasn't sold yet, so I figured I'd go back and get everything later.

However, last week I called the realtor ( who, along with her husband, is also the mortgagor of the property ), and asked her to have a clean up crew go in and you know, clean. I made it very clear that I was planning on returning to finish getting my things, all that I wanted done was cleaning.

Alas, yesterday I found out that they actually CLEANED OUT the entire house - all my things are gone! Including practically my ENTIRE collection of Dead ( and other artists / bands ) bootlegs that I hadn't transferred onto cd yet ( I have a big collection - it's time consuming, ya know? )

Where you all could come in is please, if I provide a list of shows, etc, that I will truly miss, could the folks here help me replace some of them? I'd be more than happy to provide cd's, tapes, pay postage, sing your praises to the heavens, whatever. I don't need or really even want everything I lost back, but there are many that were "special". Of course, I realize now that the habit I had of placing ticket stubs in the tape case turned out to be unwise.....

Many other things are gone, as well, but the loss of my collection, built up over roughly the last 25 years, is devastating! I'll be ever grateful for any help, thanks in advance.

That totally sucks ass. I'm really sorry to hear that.

My list is in my sig. If there's anything there you want, just PM. We'll work something out.

That SUCKS.

Although, probably not so much about the tapes. It probably wasn't worth your time to transfer any of them unless they were actual master copies, and even then somewhat doubtful that comparable or superior versions don't already exist.

I'd like to help if I can. Send me an email through my band website and we can talk about burning you a spindle for B&P.

I have TONS of digital stuff that I'd be happy to share.

PM me your address and in the weeks ahead I'll burn off a few DVDs.

Do you have a DVD reader on your PC?

Thanks, everybody, it means a lot to me that so many of you are willing to help me out. I'm racking my brain now to remember which ones were the ones I'm really going to want back ( no, I never bothered to put it all down on the computer, I mean, they were RIGHT THERE, you know? ), so in a day or two I should have it together. Thank God I had already transferred some over.

Tigerstrat, most of my tapes were already fairly good to pristine sounding boards, or at least very good audiences of shows I was at. I was mainly transferring them over because cassettes aren't forever. Maybe I'm getting old, but a decent board is usually fine for me - my ears honestly can't often tell enough of a difference to bother seeking out the "holy grail" copy as long as I already have a good one. I will hugely appreciate the help, believe me.

You can still download all the SBD's in MP3 VBR format from Archive.org. Just look in your Temporary internet files. (may be limited to win2000 or less)
