I agree on it being too long. Picking a name for a Dead band is definitely hard. We took forever just to come up with "The Eleven". I'd been in some other Dead bands of various names like Year Of The Dog and The Cause. But I think for us it definitely became a thing of wanting to have a name that is easily associated with or identified as a certain brand of music, namely Dead. For us the new name along with better promo strategies, etc., began to pay off pretty quickly, resulting in better gigs as well as more folks coming to see us (even if merely out of curiosity...whether we were any good or not). Stick to it though and I'm sure it'll all work out. Best of luck to ya!
