I was at Saturday nights show, and I tell you what, it may have been me! I smelled like a dead skunk if you know what I mean. The rest of the place reeked too, so I guess it was a group effort. It is harvest season. I heard they cracked down after that.
We were in line for like a half hour outside, and the guard starting talking about set times. The people in front of us were like,"uh, this isnt the Lion King?!?!?"
I love how subjective these shows are. I really liked the second set of last Saturday. From Jack Straw on, that show smoked! The first set was a bit Jackie Greenish for me. I liked Camden too.
Larry Campbell has definately grown on me. Last year, I was not big on him, because of the bluesy playing, but I think he has really grown into the role. He is a freakin monster musician, and I respect him for that. And hats off to Phil to give him a shot at ripping it up. The guy was kinda stuck in his pro gig with Dylan,and along comes Phil and says, Rip it up,man.
