And I came across this interesting survey. It asked people to pick a particular show that was a highlight for each of the band members. I think that would be an interesting thing to do here. Id have to give it some thought but Id figure Id get the ball rolling.

And coincidentally Phil and Jerry both had the same show as their highlights!

Deadbase says 10-16-89 for Bobby, his 42nd birthday. And I checked out some videos and they might be right . . . .

Is it me or does anyone else notice how happy Jerry looks when playing Bobby tunes especially in the late 80s-90s???

I can think of plenty of vids with songs like Pic Moon or Hell in a Buck and Jerry is just blazing with an overdriven sound and a sly almost excited smile.

Yeah, he seems to be digging the Picasso Moon. Maybe its cause it frees him up to do more picking. I mean when I started to get into learning leads one of the first things I was taught is that you want your phrasing to be similar to the vocal lines of the song and for practice I was told to put on a song I wanted to solo to and play behind the vocals. But it was also highly emphasized that if you did that in a band situation you would more than likely get yelled at pretty hard. But Jerry does a great job of it. Not really just mimicking the vocals but harmonizing and adding to them. He doesn't do that with his tunes.

I have a love/hate thing with "Picasso Moon". It's a kick ass tune that I've seen jump start a couple shows where Jer was sleeping at the wheel. The Lyrics make me want to hurl chunks on Bob's pink polo.

"We make wrinkles, advertise them as creases"...Christ Almighty! WTF?
