I am using my martin d-35 to play in a electric group setting. I need for it to be heard and it wants to feed back when i have it plugged into my deluxe reverb. What do you guys use to eliminate feedback with your acoustic when playing through an electric amp?
I have had good luck with a UltraSound DI - they run about 100 bucks and have proven to be effective in a trio setting. That said, our volumes were never very high as band settings go, so I can't speak for the feedback situation at high volumes. At our levels, the feedback was not a problem after I purchased the DI. (I play a Guild F512 which as acoustics go, is very loud.) I ran the guitar to the UltraSound and then either into our board or sometimes I went right to my Acoustic Amp. In any event, the UltraSound worked for me. I don't know if this holds any water for you, but the guy I bought it from puts on concerts in his music shop and uses only UltraSound DI's and other assorted UltraSound products , , , You might also look into the LR Baggs line-up of products. Really, it was between the LR Baggs and the UltraSound.
good luck.
