Hi Everyone My Name is Jeff. I'm just another deadhead trying to get more music. I have sirius sat radio. They are playing some increidble stuff and I love it. They also play 3 LIVE SHOWS a Day!!! If you get a chance they have a free 3 day trail on their site if you want to lend an ear.Now to my question does any one know of a way to record streaming audio? Or maybe is already doing this themselves. If you have any thoughts on this I would be truly grateful.

Just output it into your computer, and use like audacity or something. might sound crappy but youll get the shows, you might have to chop it up

I too subscribe to Sirius and you are correct! It is one of the better things to come out "Radio-wise" in quite a while.

I have the type of radio that will record into the unit itself. No transfer or duplication required. I have not however tried to take the songs / data from the radio unit and dump it to the PC. I do have the capability to hear my recordings on the Sirius radio and out-put it to a sound system (Stereo) and get it loud. If you have the proper effect pedal, some have an input designed specifically for Mp3 players. True with some practice amps as well. This "set-up" works great when noodling with headphone.

You bring up a good point about dumping it to a PC / personal use CD (Just in case Koons is reading) , I will get my 14 year-old to figure that out for me... I'll come back and let you know ....

When I first discovered the archive, rather late, I just ran the headphone out jack of my computer with a "Y" cable into the L and R inputs of my cassette deck. Now I know that will be greeted with horror by many a person on this site! But listen,I have been converted as well, I don't want cassettes; I want digital files. The only time I might listen to cassettes is through an old boom box when camping.
That brings up something else, I have always duped albums, live concerts on TV and radio, 3rd generation Dead tapes on cassette. The local radio stations used to have all album weekends and I would record several.
No big deal was ever made of that! No one Koonsed out about it then. Nothing I used to like more back then then a brick of new cassettes! Them days are sadly gone, brothers, don't feel the same about a stack of CDrs.

Dig it Django!..I'm 54 and remember the cassette days well...anyway last night a minor miracle happened i actually taught myself how to burn CDs! My daughter got sick of me asking her to do it for me...so with a little patience and perserverence i can now Burn Baby Burn!!
