I saw something today that at 530 times played not fade away was the 7th most played song by the dead, and i was wondering if anyone knew what the most often played tune was.

just speculating here, but your list might include songs more than once in the same show. that would explain why TOO, Playin, and NFA are so high on the list.

I have not seen one for a while, but what I remember the Deadbase books have counts of songs played. I thought Other Ones was #1, but sounds like it is not. Site is cool anyway.

Yeah those numbers are probably not right. I remember reading maybe in the big Dead book that it was Me and My Uncle in the lead with I wanna say 636 times. nicolask CCS was played a bunch of times without IKYR. But Id still doubt that the number fell on the same amount of times like that. Who knows though.
