I ordered this new DVD and it got me to thinking about this site and how video helps me and I went to all the video's on this site last eve and was working on them and wanted to say thanks again for all the input and...

could you folks please do another one or two?? I'd love to see how you play Let it Grow because the tab on this site still throws me. Also, something like Might As Well or Lazy Lightning. Also, that video of West LA is awesome and I still can't grasp it! I just keep trying! Anyhow, love to see some more video posted!

I'd also like to post some (can do all 3 that have been asked so far) but I have a problem: I have a webcam but can't seem to rig it to my laptop because I no longer have (or can't find) the software. If anyone can help me here, I'll get posting vids asap. Thanks.

Logitech Quickcam

If it's the drivers you're missing:

http://www.softwarepatch.com/utilities/ ... ckcam.html

Once you get the system to recognize that you have the cam attached, then you'll need software to "record" from the cam (maybe the Logitech cam came with recording software?). Quickcapture seems to be the same of the Logitech software that you could use to record from the camera, but I would think there's got to be others out there somewhere. Try going to download.com and searching on 'video capture'. There should at least be something shareware/free-to-try that you could use to verify the camera works properly.

Thanks jck_strw.

Here's the issue: when I plug it in, its working fine. That is to say, I can open it up under "My computer", see it in the USB port, and open that file so I can see myself on screen, but I don't have any recording program, which I think initially came w/ the camera when I bought it. I'll try searching around on Logitech's website again, but last time I came up empty.

Don't know if this is helpful info or not, but any direction you can point me is appreciated.

Ok, give this a try:

http://www.download.com/VirtualDub-32-b ... ?tag=lst-5

VirtualDub is the name of the software. It should be freeware and it got pretty good reviews. As long as the computer can "see" the camera, you should be good to go. Dl and install this and let us know how it goes.

Actually I think that Logitech link for the driver you posted worked....I can now record and save the vids...how do I email them to this site?

PS - may not get around to posting vids today, will try this weekend though when I have more time.

Thanks again J.
