That's the local Portland group with ex-Salmon bassist Tye North and funked-up drummer Carlton Jackson. RR got to do an opening set for them last Spring. The Alembic is the "Further" model with beautiful inlays added. He had a pretty extensive pedalboard which included the T-Rex Replica analog delay... we had a conversation about effects, I remember him seeking advice on an octave effect... but the amp: I seem to remember it being a Fender Pro Reverb; in the past he has used a blonde Mesa MkIIC+ quite a bit.
I've seen Scott perform with a number of different acts over the last 5-6 years(including
both Melvin Seals' Melting Pot and JGB, Vince Herman, Piano Throwers...)and he has always impressed me with his sense of taste and fun in his playing. Got to meet him for the first time a couple years ago and he's just a really cool down-to-earth guy who loves to play.
