'Don't have a date at hand, but in cruising Archive in recent weeks (late 70's, early 80's) I stumbled across a Stella where Jerry is playing what I would describe as a full-on high-speed distortion solo (anybody have any date(s) for these?).
'A great juxtaposition to some of (what are to me) the classic, melody based, clean Stella solos.
Thanks for the link.

The high-water mark of 1993 was easily the off-the-hook Playin' from 5/26 Cal Expo.

No one mentioned the epic 2nd set from 9-13-93, so I will.

If I recall correctly, the 9-13-93 show had a Tubular Bells jam/space that was pretty cool. Worth the listen.

Another fantastic 1993 highlight was Ken Nordine adding "word jazz" to Space, Rosemont 3/11/93

I think you misread that; I assume he was saying his fav Stella was in the 90's, possibly when Brent was alive, meaning sometimes during the spring/summer tour.
