This was a show I just listened to this evening for the first time. This is the earliest in their career that I remember the boys having people sit in (if you don't count Mickey and the Harbeats). If not the earliest then most unique guests (violin!)
The performance is kinda sloppy, but is expected as there probably was not much rehearsal. The fiddle really adds a whole different dimension to the music. Jerry is not as prominent but its very interesting to hear anyway, the band sounds more like a good ol' country outfit than a rock band, though that fiddle really rocks pretty hard on the first set tunes. Namely Hard to Handle and Hi-Heeled Sneakers.
