Pretty cool, though I have to admit I had to look up PeteB in the member list. I didn't know who you were referring to.

I have lost so much material -- my Dead Base -- so I can't remember the exact show --

Fall/Winter -- 1978 MSG smokin' Terrapin had me forever hooked, if you guys have any access to the date I'd love it

Went into a party in '78 and came out in '89"

Peace

I was born the day after haha. Never saw the dead. My first show was a metal show a long time ago. First jamband show was "The Dead" in 2003 at PNC Bank Arts Center. I thought it was excellent. Then I went and purchased the CD's for it and thought it was crap lol.

Awesome responses! Hey, Cold Rain! How can you "not remember?" Next to the day you lost your virginity, there is no date more important than the date of your first show! First show could be more important if your "first time" wasn't all it was cracked up to be! j/k!

Figured I'd help a brother out and I'm a veteran of many a garden show - just love the place.

But I couldn't find a garden show for 77 or 78. 2 in 79 w/Terrapin, this one in september and this one

Capital Theatre June 76. Cant remember the exact date but they played 3 shows there on that tour.

Pershing Municipal Auditorium, Lincoln, Nebraska on 26 February 1973. Dick's Picks 28.

I seem to remember that during the Dark Star that the guys kind of huddled up on stage, you know in a circle kind of. I wondered later if that was because of the alien indiffence of most of the crowd. No wall of sound but there was scaffolding and tie dyed speaker cloth cabs. Maybe a partial wall of sound, don't know.

I made a friend and he gave me a ticket to a show later in that tour and I couldn't make it. I did however keep in touch and hitched out to see him and his girl and their gang of heads before going the '74 show at the Des Moines fair grounds.

I've seen several of these.

My first was 1-13-78, Santa Barbara. The 5-28-74 show mentioned above was actually 5-25-74 (Garcia played with the Great American String Band). My second show was at the same location as 5-25-74, but was a few years later, in the summer of '78.
