So lately I just hate digital recording. Sounds like it's just missing something. I want to buy a reel-to-reel, probably an 8track, but I just don't know anything about them. Any help I can get on this would be greatly appreciated. Brands? Places to buy them?

buy flac files, i'm cool with mp3 but if you want high quality digital that isnt "missing" anything try dling something in flac format

I used my Fostex R8 for years befor I went digital in my home studio. Although I didn't do major amounts of recording with it, it never let me down and I made some pretty decent band demos with it.

yes, i know it CAN'T be the same, but for being digital, WAV 24bits, ehich can be compressed into flac is the higher thing you can get, and is almost perfect, I mean, is proffesional audio
