Okay guys ... and gals if any .... I didn't go to Phil at the Philmore friday night ... I sat in and thrashed a little mando with the Shakin Bones boys .... however this morning I downloaded the show off of Colorado Tapers ... and I just gave a listen ... sorry guys ... sorry Phil .... but it was bad .... damn Phil why you gotta sing so freaking much ... and Larry Campbell's tone is not good ... hey Jackie Green ain't bad at all ... he gets all the grief for the line-up and so forth .. but he is cool ... but Phil Larry ... come on guys... Phil I hold you responsible ... can I please book your talent ... please ... I'll get you five guys nobody has ever heard of before and people will like it alot better than this ... unless drugs are alot better now then I realize I can't see enjoying that show ... Sorry Phil... still love you brother ... Doctor Phil Good

Sorry everybody, but I'm actually really glad to hear that because I too skipped out on the philmore and red rocks because I just was not excited at all for phil this time around. I felt a little guilty yesterday sitting around when I could have been out at the rocks...but it looks like my intuition was correct to stay in and save 50 bucks.

Hey guys,
I went to the Philmore and stayed for the first set. I love Phil and always will and was glad to see him. Two problems I saw: 1) I wanted to hear some Dead tunes. They opened with FOTD, played Cosmic Charlie halfway through and then New Speedway. But the other 5 or so tunes were unknown to me. Probably Jackie and Larry tunes. If this was a Jackie or Larry show, that would have been fine. Did I mention I wanted to hear some Dead? 2) Someone need sto carry the Jerry tone. Not copy it but have some Deadish type guitar tone. Here we had two vey twangy blues guitars going. Nothing close. Made my head hurt. So, I headed over to Dulcinea's and caught some fantastic Dead by Shakin Bones. Great mando player showed up and rocked my mind!!!Good job Sailor!

<~~~Keeping my fingers crossed - have tics to both Boston shows, and the 2nd one is front row, so I best not be dissapointed. Well, at least if I am, I can just tell Phil "hey man, just about everyone on rukind is unhappy....something's gotta give!"
