I love NRBQ as well. But he is talking about the "Q" (Quintet) which was the nickname they gave phil and friends band frmo late 2000 to 2002. It was this line up

Phil, Molo, Haynes, Herring, Barracco. It is the line up that has played the most shows together. When you say phil and friends this is the line up I think most think of.
