Sailor,

Best to you man. Been there myself and it just sucks. Only thing to make it better is to get a puppy ASAP. Just busted out a solo Stella Blue for your pup.

my condolences lost sailor. i had to put down my viszula/lab down last summer the day before i left for school. he was 14 and i had him since i was 8. it was very hard to take him down to the mississippi one last time. i had to carry him out of the car, so he was going physically and mentally. not fun. Just think about all of the joy a simple dog brought you for so many years. i'm sure he enjoyed himself as well with a good owner.

a new pup does help. my dad didn't want a new dog for at least a few years. he felt it would be unfair to buck's "legacy", but as soon as he ran into a litter of labs his heart melted and cried. and now we have the wonderful dog 'badge' to enjoy and remind us of how great 'buck' was

take care

Sleep in the stars....don't you cry anymore....

Sorry to hear about your loss....go get a new puppy or rescue a dog from the pound...
It is the cure for losing a dog

about 10 years ago I had to put down both of my old dogs on the same day.....strange coincidence and very hard
I've always said my dogs were closer to me than my girlfriends and they were always there for me and loved me unconditionally and never talked back

I'm playing a set for Oakley with my bros in about an hour
Hang in there

The Rainbow Bridge

Author Unknown

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. They play all day with each other.

There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes are staring! And this one suddenly runs from the group!

You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.
