Trying to find a good heavy gauge string for an electric, any thoughts?

If you change the strings to a different guage you may have to re setup the guitar.

I like Ernie Ball. I use 10's though but they make heavier guage. I'm a totak freak about changing strings though - I pretty much change them a couple of days before every gig unless I have 2 back to back. I just like the sound when they are just new and broken in for a couple of hours of use.

I also don't like it when the D string gets gouged up by the frets on the underside of the string. That tends to make that string weak and with my luck that's just begging for a broken string during a gig. Since I've gone with this regiment I haven't broken a string once - ever.

Like I said, I'm kinda freakish about it.
