I am thinking about getting one of these to mess around with. For those of you who have one or the other if you were to buy on which one would you chose? I have never messed with one and the plus is not much more than the Q, so I was curious as to others input.

I won't be much help in the comparison area because I never played with a Q-tron. I have the Q-tron+ and love it!

I got the + as well and I dont see the extra stuff being worth it. If you're able to try them in a guitar store first then do that. Because you will prolly wanna end up goin with just the Q

Yeah, after I bought my Q+, I heard that there wasn't much difference between it and the Q. I kind of wish I got the Q because it's smaller. The Q+ takes up a lot of room in the effects rack. I'm a Gear junkie and typically figure that if it costs more, it probably better. That's just one of my quirks I guess. But hey, at least I didn't pay $15K for Garcia's sink!!!

I thought the Q and the Q+ used the same metal box.

Hmmm, I remember the Q being somewhat smaller, but maybe not.

I just looked at Musicians Friend and of course it's hard to tell exactly, but it looks smaller. I may have been thinking about the Mini-Qtron which definitely is smaller.

The Q and the Q+ are both the same size.

They are the same size - the + has a loop in and out if you want to run a separate loop (pre-amp, the Q tron has a slight amplification).

I think that's the only difference. I went with the regular Q because I just didn't see the need for me to have another distinct loop.

Nah it also has an attack knob. Like you can switch between slow or fast. Slow is vowel like or somethin but I never use the fast setting. If I wasnt always just goin for Jerrys Wah then I guess itd be cool.
