Well when you dont have money to pay for satelite radio every month, you have to listen to the plain old radio.

Dont get me wrong I would love to have sirius but I have no money heh.

This sounds awsome some of those shows are going to be great to hear over the radio.

There is nothing you can do to come up with $13 per month. A few less beers? 2 packs of cigarettes? one extra hour of work? Sell one thing cheap on ebay everymonth?

Looks like the Dead channel starts tomorrow on Sirius 32. Here is what Sirius has to say:

THE GRATEFUL DEAD CHANNEL: LAUNCHING FRIDAY
The wait is almost over! On Friday, The Grateful Dead Channel launches with a rarely heard concert recording from 1974 at the Hollywood Bowl. The concert will be followed by a program hosted by Bob Weir examining country music's influence on The Grateful Dead. As Bob says, "This is gonna be one fun channel. We, the guys in the band, get to be involved as much as we can and we'll make sure it's fun." We'll spare you the "long, strange trip" puns and just say that if you love The Grateful Dead, you'll love this channel.

STARTING SEPTEMBER 7

SIRIUS will launch the Grateful Dead Channel on channel 32 with a rare concert broadcast of the band’s 1974 performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California. The concert will be followed by a show hosted by Bob Weir - he'll host an hour of country-influenced Grateful Dead songs and some of the songs that laid the foundation for their music.

Other upcoming performance recordings:

9/7 @ 9 pm ET: 8/16/91 Mountain View, CA
9/8 @ 3 am ET: 2/27/69 San Francisco, CA
9/8 @ noon ET: 11/2/79 Uniondale, NY
9/8 @ 9 pm ET: 9/22/93 New York, NY

Listen for archival interviews with members of The Grateful Dead Saturdays at 10 am ET and Sundays at 8 pm ET, and catch Today In Grateful Dead History every day at 7 am, 11 am and 7 pm ET.

Yee Haa!

I knew there was a reason I gave in to my wife a couple of years ago and subscribed - she's even lost interest since then and the car unit is now in my ride.
