my band was supposed to play it last year but had to cancel last minute... but my friends were already on their way so they went anyway... said they would not go again... I guess there were few people there, shabby conditions, and the atmosphere was pretty dead (no pun intended)

I dont know,,,,,, I would definately go if you have the chance though. I would, but I am in so much shit from something else. All of my friends went last year (again, I couldnt go  ) and had nothing but good things to say. "Garcia gathering is one badass little festival" says one friend. I guess Waterband is one primo band too good (live) to get big, and Melvin Seals is chill as fuck. Dude, go, and tell me how it was.

Well I went over the weekend and it got off to a bad start. The people running the show are crooks. It says on the website that there will be a $15 camping fee. I thought that it was a $15 per site camping fee since it didn't say anything about it being $15 per person. You see where this is going. Well luckily it was only $30 for my wife and I, but there were some camp sites with 10 or so people on it. Everyone I talked to feels like they got ripped off. The funny thing was that as soon as I questioned this guy asking for $15 per person he busts out a piece of paper out of his back pocket and says its in the contract. Very defensive about it too. Well too bad the contract wasn't posted on the web site. Fucking crooks ripping off people who already dropped a lot of money on tickets. The bands were good but the people running the show put me in a bad mood at the beginning and I couldn't get over it. I will never go back and I would say save your money and your time if you are thinking about going next year.

Oh well I went to Jerry Day in San Fransisco and it was great and free. The food was cheap too.
