I am assuming you are going to be in the San Francisco Bay area.

Check the web for shows by Ratdog, Phil and Friends, David Nelson Band, New Riders of the Purple Sage, and JGB.

Check the Sweetwater for surprise shows. Phil sometimes shows up on a whim.

You will want to do all the traditional stuff. Check out Haight Street, 710 Ashbury, Golden Gate Park, PanHandle Park, The Fillmore, The Warfield, The Orpheum, City Lights Bookstore.

There is a bunch more things to list but I gotta run. I am sure others will fill in the blanks.

If your visiting So. Cal., San Diego has an awesome dead cover band, Electric Waste Band, that plays every monday at Winstons in Ocean Beach. Another great dead cover band is Cubensis, that plays regular Sunday and Tuesday gigs in the Orange County and LA area. I'm sure all shows are posted on their respective websites. Finally, there's a touring dead cover band, Dark Star Orchestra, that is worth checking out.
