When it doesn't fit anywhere else

Before last night's show I had never sat through a whole show or left early. Umphrey's playing was interesting (I liked it) and I tried to make myself get into it. It felt wrong. Never has a show so depressed me.

Was anyone else there (Pompano Amphitheater, Umphrey's/Bisco) who can comment?

To illustrate: I had the chance to meet Ryan Stasik, who moved up to the last row unnoticed once the Bisco set started. I didn't say a word to him.

i had a similar experience at an umphreys show last summer, and i was thinking of trying them again at copper in a few weeks, but now def not. just not great vibes.

I've seen each of those bands once (seperately). Was not feeling Umphrey's too much, the guitarist kept shredding and it felt like metal.

Bisco was great IMO, though I'm not sure if i would've felt as strongly if it werent for the candyflip

I saw Umphrey's once and they were alright...I was there for the Cheese though, so I didn't pay much attention to them.

I've seem Umphrey's a couple times and thought it was pretty fun. They've never been a favorite, though. Just happened to play free in Knoxville 2 years straight. I'm po.
