I was trying to download a show between last night and today (7/25) and it was dreadfully slow. Anyone else have this issue?

well yeah, but i use dial up so thats expected, just out of curiosity, how slow was it?

I can't even imagine it on dial up, but normally, a whole show (SHN Zip) would take about an hour. Last night, it was reporting 8 hours to go, and this morning it took over 2 hours to grab the show.

It's sometimes a crap shoot with archive.org. If you notice, different shows are stored on different servers. So sometimes you'll get a show from audio22.archive.org or audio24.archive.org, etc. It all depends on the server you're currently downloading from.

Even still, sometimes some servers are really, really, really slow. Do you know which one you were dl'ing from? I know that there are some servers that are smokin' fast and others forget it. You might as well go back to B&P.

you know how when you download somehting, sometimes reported time jumps up and down one or two minutes- with dial up on archive, it jumps up one or two days

I never took note of that because it was never an issue, but I went back and looked ant it was audio03
