Those songs get me rocking but my "60's and early 70's only" dead head friends (there seems to be a lot of those in my area) would always give me a hard time whenever I put on a little 80's weir. Sorry if I upset you any. Don't take anything I say too seriously, becuase I don't.
What's wrong with that line? I think it's pretty clever...If I'm dropping acid in a stadium full of 20,000 strangers, once it's in the tummy there ain't no point in looking behind you and second guessing, oh should I hit the brakes or should I gun it, no-- let's go.
I think the 'we used to play for acid' phrasing is completed with 'now we play for lines' IIRC. More parallel that way anyhow.
I also remember hearing an Eyes with the flub "Wake up to find out that you are the size of the world". I have a book laying around that has a listing of amusing flubs and deliberate alterations. I'll try to find it.
