I was watching a documentary called Festival Express last night and saw a short clip of Jerry Garcia playing a dark colored Telecaster. Then I saw that Delaney and Bonnie were on that same train ride. I know George gave that Tele to Delaney shortly after he was done with it in the Let It Be sessions. I'm wondering if the Tele Jerry was playing was the one George used on the famous Rooftop Concert on the Apple building in London. Does anyone know if this is actually the case? I'm sure Jerry played any guitar he could get his hands on but I'd never seen him play a Telecaster before that little clip in the documentary.

Also, It just occurred to me that I had never posted on this site, usually just read other people's posts. So, to introduce myself, my name is KC and I've been a Grateful Dead fan for many years. I met a tape trader back in the mid '80s that kind of turned me on to live Dead music. I had only really been familiar with the studio albums up to that point. I finally made it to a couple shows in the early '90s and enjoyed them immensely. The last show I saw was in April of 1995 at Tampa Stadium and the Black Crowes opened that show. Anyway, I've really enjoyed this site and it's been helpful to me for several reasons including finding info to help me in my Alligator build, reading up on builders before I bought my Tiger replica, and now as I start to build up an amp setup, I'm hoping someone has posted info on a Hard Truckers type vertical Twin Reverb cabinet for my '69 Twin chassis I just got.

Welcome! ...(sort of??)

Yes that was George's rosewood Tele that Jerry was playing.
