I searched for threads on this topic and didn't see any that discussed Jerry's signal chain for the studio version of Althea. I know much of the soft, expressive tone came from Jerry's fingers. Curious about his use of effects, if any, on this tune.
To my ears it sounds like he’s using the in-between pickup setting of combining neck and middle with the tone knob rolled down. The sound has more of a Strat vibe to my ears, but could still be Tiger.
It also sounds like he has his phaser on a very low and slow setting.
