I learned this morning my fellow Deadhead friend, Mark, died yesterday in the midst of his heart surgery. His memory will be a blessing to all who knew him. I'll be making a contribution to one of the several charities supported by the Garcia family and thought I'd share the URL to them in case of broader interest.

Thanks. I have to think his widow and 3 kids ages 22, 21, and 19 are crushed now (I plan to wait to hear about the funeral arrangements before reaching out further). If we ever need a reminder to live each day, events like these shake our complacency.

Hi Jon: I am sorry for your loss. I have made a donation to the Rex foundation in your friend's memory. It's sad when we lose someone, but, if it's any solace, it's a positive to have a reminder every once in a while to look beyond the end of our noses and be prompted to help others, especially under the trying times we're enduring at present.
